Hello there! I’m Emma. Thanks for stopping by to join me on my journey!
5 years ago I was living the fast life. My husband and I were living in the city, both in graduate school, working multiple jobs, and had our third child on the way. We loved the crazy mess we had created for ourselves!
Then we got the news that after my husband was ordained as a pastor, we’d be moving 2,000 miles away from friends and family to a farming community of 900 people. And not just a small town on the other side of the country, but one 50 miles away from the nearest Wal-Mart and pediatrician.
I was less than thrilled.
I had to learn how to slow down, be content with staying home and raising our children, and focus on what truly matters. I even (gasp) learned how to sew!
Reclaimed for Good is about just that – slowing down, focusing on what truly matters, and (of course) sewing. And not just any sewing, but sewing with reclaimed textiles. Because breathing new life into old material is not only sustainable, it’s reminiscent of what we can all do in our lives every day – reclaim.
We’re meant to build each other up, be caretakers of the earth, and walk as redeemed women made in the image of the ultimate Creator. Let’s walk this road together.
